PH Program Research Day for Patients – 2016

Once again, in celebration of Pulmonary Hypertension Month, the UPMC PH Program, in collaboration with PH researchers at the University of Pittsburgh’s Vascular Medicine Institute, hosted Research Day for Patients.

On November 22, 2016, PH patients and their guests were updated on the newest PH research innovations and discoveries, and clinical trials.  Scientists in the Vascular Medicine Institute were honored to welcome PH patients into their laboratories to get a behind-the-scenes tour of the facilities where our cutting-edge research happens.

PH Program Research Day for Patients – 2015

In recognition of Pulmonary Hypertension Awareness Month, the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC celebrated with the PH community by hosting the first Pulmonary Hypertension Research Day for Patients.

On Friday, November 20, 2015, PH patients and their guests visited the Center for Pulmonary Vascular Biology and Medicine to hear from our experts about the latest in PH research, and learn what investigators are working on NOW to better understand PH.  After updates from our speakers, visitors then had opportunities to tour the labs in the Vascular Medicine Institute and get a true behind-the-scenes look at PH research.
